In 1950 brothers Lloyd and Fred Ramsey started a partnership that has now spanned three generations. Whilst the business has grown significantly these values are still alive today and it is within these values that you can be outgoing that you are in the right hands with Ramsey Bros. Our business is built on over sixty five years of family tradition. Their combined focus is aimed at bringing best practice outcomes at all times to our customers, suppliers and staff. At Ramsey Bros we pride ourselves on our customer service. Our inside environment is merriment and positive, challenging and exciting. Land was acquired in Clive and the Mobil Service Station was built and opened in 1958. Lloyd Della built their home the equivalent year adjacent to the Service Station and a year later Fred Ana built their home across the road. Through firm work and sound management the business grew. Acquired the land and buildings of the Waymouth Motor Co. and continued with the Chrysler vehicle franchise. Further showroom space was built in 1960 and an electrical, radio, television and hardware division was added. Brian and Andrew, sons of Fred Ana joined the staff in 1973 and 1976. In 1977 the premises on Main Street, previously occupied by Herbert Motors was purchased and all machinery and vehicle sales were coordinated from that location. Opened a branch at tubby Bay and in 1980 another branch in Cummings. Continued to grow with the establishment of furniture, electrical place in Kimba, the Ford vehicle franchise in Clive and a branch was opened in Lock in 1981. Again the town felt the shock of the loss of one of the favorite sons. It has grown from the hasty days of Kiel pa into one of the largest farm machinery dealers in South Australia. Mark Ward believes the correct staff have been critical to the growth of Ramsey Bros. From the very beginning key staff has made an invaluable contribution to the growth and many have been with us for over 25 years. Across their 65 year history, Ramsey Bros. have sold machinery to multiple generations of the equivalent family. We see the value in developing mighty permanent relationships with staff and customers. I’m the third generation and carry through the alike philosophy that saw this business grow from 1958. One of our customers that has been along for maximum of the journey is the Elleway Family. Ray says. Ramsey Bros was the vision of two Brothers who had a wish to aid the community. 65 years and three generations later we have not lost this focus and it is this vision that underpins our company and is a core value of our staff.
